Graduate from Coe College
The following students are area natives who recently graduated from Coe College:
Bryce Sampson of Roland was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from Coe College on May 12, majoring in biology. Sampson, a graduate of Roland Story High School, is the son of Brian and Deborah Sampson.
Zeb Hammes of Story City was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from Coe College on May 12, majoring in business administration. Hammes, a graduate of Roland Story High School, is the son of Ted and Terri Hammes.
Named to Dean’s List
More than 6,250 Iowa State University undergraduates have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the 2013 spring semester Dean’s List. Students named to the Dean’s List must have earned a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded course work.

Named to Dean’s List
Anna Morgan of Story City has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2013 semester at Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. To qualify for the President’s List, students must attain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 or higher, in their most recent semester, for a minimum of six credit hours. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must attain a grade point average (GPA) between 3.5 and 3.749 in their most recent semester, for a minimum of six credit hours.
Anna Moats-Gibson of Roland graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mount Mercy University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Commencement exercises were held at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena Sunday, May 19.
Moats was also named to the Mount Mercy Dean’s List. Students with a semester grade point average of 3.60 or better, and who are graded (letter grade, not pass/fail) for six or more semester hours, are eligible for inclusion on the Dean’s List.
