A total of 43 senior citizens enjoyed a noon luncheon on Wednesday, Jan. 15, of a delicious two piece fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy and a vegetable, catered by Harlan’s Deli. The coordinator was Harriet Erickson. Servers were Harriet Erickson and Margaret Peter. The M.C. was Ann Lovig. The Lord’s Prayer was sung by all.

It was Shirley Larson’s and Irene Alvestad’s birthdays. All joined in and sang Happy Birthday. They served ice cream as a treat.

The program was given by Bethany Manor. Lynne Nelson is the new coordinator for Donor Relations at Bethany Life Foundation. She gave a presentation telling about the Bethany Prom coming up. They need volunteers to help (515/314-5189). They also treated us to cookies from Bethany Manor.

Pat Firnhaber gave a big thank you to the volunteers who helped put the December newsletter together. It was a big job and was very well done from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A reading to make us all chuckle was read by Dean Larson.
