The Youth & Shelter Services Kids Club will begin its summer session May 30 and run until the Fall 2013 school season begins at the Roland-Story Elementary in Story City. The theme for this summer’s activities will be, "Watch Out! Science is Happening," and will feature science and technology learning activities.
Kids Club is a quality before, after and summer school program for children in grades kindergarten through sixth. Kids Club is an exciting and challenging place, helping children stretch their skills in mind and body. It is also a safe, comfortable place where children can build positive relationships with caring adults. Staff are dedicated to the supervision, safety and happiness of children. Kids Club staff members are trained in areas of positive guidance, working with children and activity planning and implementation.
YSS is a statewide non-profit organization that exists to provide prevention, education, treatment and residential services to children, youth and families; to advocate on their behalf, and to help them solve problems; grow and become self-sufficient, responsible, contributing members of society. YSS has 20 facilities, located in 13 central Iowa counties that serve youth and families from throughout the state.
