Local Scouting groups are once again collecting food to be donated to Loaves and Fishes food pantry as part of the annual Scouting for Food food drive. Scouting for Food is an ongoing annual program of the Boy Scouts of America. Residents of Story City and Roland are asked to leave nonperishable food and personal hygiene items in a bag outside their door by 8:30 a.m. on April 1. Scouts will be by to pick them up and deliver items to Loaves and Fishes. The goal is to beat last year’s total of more than 1,300 items donated. Please help your local Scouts do a Good Turn for our community.
