The Story City Historical Society will host its spring dinner and presentation on Thursday, April 27, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Carriage House Museum.
A World War I themed dinner will be provided, including Army Goulash, Corn Willy Hash, Hoover Bread, Salvation Army Donuts and a variety of other wartime desserts. Visit the Carriage House to taste some favorites from the WWI era! A free-will donation will be accepted.
Following the meal will be a presentation by museum director Kate Feil on Story City’s involvement in World War I. The Historical Society’s WWI exhibit will also be unveiled on the April 27. Stop by to learn more about Story City’s contribution to The Great War.
Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Welcome and announcements will be at 6:20 p.m. And the presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m.
