Students at Roland-Story High School have been collaborating with the Story City Economic Development Corporation to design a new logo for the industry/school partnership.

Teams of students in Amber Doyle’s design class competed with their designs. Members of the EDC board and some representatives of Chamber businesses voted on the designs.

The team of Jakob Pitman, Koby Hassebrock, Ben Miller and Josh Engelby created the winning design. The design will now be used on the EDC’s website on the industry/school collaboration page.

On May 15, Kari Matheason, chief operating officer at Bethany Life, presented the winning team with certificates for their work.

“All of the teams did a great job, and each design got at least one vote,” Matheason told the class. “And the winning team won by one vote. The EDC appreciates the great work you did designing these logos.”
