Registration for the Roland Library’s reading program, “Building a Better World,” will start on Tuesday, May 30.

Those who wish to participate in the program need to have a parent or guardian fill out and turn in a registration form.

Reading logs can be picked up and filled out beginning May 31. Kids can earn prizes as well as entries into the library’s grand prize drawing for keeping track of their reading.

Programming will officially kick off on Tuesday, June 6, at 1 p.m. with the Science Center of Iowa.

Regular programs offered this summer will include weekly programs for toddlers and preschoolers as well as K-6th grade, LEGO Club, Movie Time, LEGO Robotics, Engineering, Tween Reading Club, Teen Club and Crafty Afternoons.

For kids looking for something to do in addition to reading logs and attending programs this summer, there are volunteer opportunities available. For more information, contact the Roland Public Library at 515-388-4086.
