Hundreds of shoppers will be thronging to Story City and Roland, as well as other area communities, this weekend for the Central Iowa Junk Jaunt’s ninth annual Junkin’ in June, “a vintage road trip.”
The central Iowa countryside dotted with barns, sheds, vintage shops and flea markets will be open for the event June 16-18. The hours on Friday and Saturday will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
More than 17 venues are included in Junkin’ in June, including barns, sheds, coops and vintage shops.
In Story City, participating businesses include Broad Street Market, 515 Broad St.; The Tin Chandelier, 526 Broad St.; Penn Station Antiques, 503 Pennsylvania Ave., which will have 4-5 vendors on sidewalk in front; Broad Street Market at Slim’s, 11563 Highway 69; Urban Heirlooms at Slim’s, 11563 Highway 69.
In Roland, Rust Around the Edges and Cr8tv Qn, located at 61055 130th St., will feature more than five vendors in farm buildings.
