The Story City Farmers’ Market will be Thursday, June 15, at Kaffe Geita. The market will be held in the parking lot from 4-7 p.m.
“Come out and check our local vendors to see what amazing items you can get from people you may even know,” said Abby Huff, director of the Story City Greater Chamber Connection.
“We’re still looking for more vendors to participate and continue to ‘grow’ our market with their locally homegrown, homemade items. Please call the GCC office if you would like to reserve a spot,” she said.
This is the second year in a row the GCC members are working on bringing a farmers’ market to Story City.
“I’ve always lived somewhere where there was a farmers’ market,” Huff said. “I really want to be somewhere with access to a farmers’ market, and where I can get not only my fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, but also homemade goods.”
Anyone interested in volunteering or being a vendor at the farmers’ market should contact the GCC at at 515-733-4214 or info@storycity gcc.com.
Huff said the farmers’ market would not be exclusive to Story City businesses but to anyone who wants to attend.
