The Bill Riley Talent Search a show in Ames on Tuesday, July 4, at 9 a.m. on Main Street at Thomas Evans Park. The show is open to the public.


The Bill Riley Talent Search offers an opportunity to help young Iowans experience the excitement and dedication necessary to help them succeed in life as well as on stage. The goal is to promote self esteem, self discipline and self confidence through participation in the performing arts.


Young Iowans are invited to register to compete in the Sprout Division (ages 2-12) and Senior Division (ages 13-21) by contacting show coordinator Sarah Buss at 515-450-7640 or sarah@ameschamber.com.


The winning act from each division will qualify to compete at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, Aug. 10-20, with prize money at the Iowa State Fair championship totaling more than $17,000.
