The Story City Farmers’ Market has been seeing some good attendance this summer.

“The vendors have been happy with the business they’re getting,” said Abby Huff, executive director of the GCC.

The farmers’ market’s move to South Park has been positive too, Huff said. The market is being held near the park’s parking lot, on the south side of Broad Street.

“You don’t have to cross the swinging bridge to get to the farmers’ market,” Huff said. “It’s just near the parking lot. Our vendors love the South Park location.”

The next market will be held Thursday, July 20, from 4-7 p.m. So far, four or five vendors offering homegrown and homemade items have signed up for this week’s event.

Red Granite Farm will be there with sweet corn, Silver’s Spoon Bakery with kringla and more, and Goodies to Go will have cookies and bars.

Vendors are still welcome to sign up; call the GCC office at 515-733-4214 or email info@storycity gcc.com if you would like to reserve a spot.
