The Roland Public Library will begin youth programming for the school year beginning on Monday, Aug. 28, with the popular LEGO Club program at 4 p.m. LEGO Club is for children in kindergarten and up.
Regular Fall programming will be as follows:
Mondays, 4 p.m.: The first and third Mondays of the month will be Library League, a group for 3rd-6th graders. The second and fourth Mondays of the month will be LEGO Club. Children who arrive early due to the school/bus schedule will have activities to keep them occupied until the program begins.
Tuesdays, 4 p.m.: Adventure Club, a weekly program for K-2nd grade. Children who arrive early due to the bus schedule will have activities to keep them occupied until the program begins.
Wednesdays, 10:15 a.m.: Preschool and Toddler Storytime. Also on Roland-Story 1 p.m. dismissal days there will be a special program for children in kindergarten and up beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Roland home daycares that have four or more children in their care can schedule a time for the library to come to them! Please contact the library to learn more about our outreach program.
We would like to get our Teen Group going again but need four or five teens in order to schedule a regular program. Currently we can meet on either Monday nights at 6 p.m. or Thursday nights at 7 p.m. once or twice a month. If interested, please contact the library.
Regular programs do not require preregistration per program, just a one time general permission form filled out by a parent, guardian or childcare provider. This can be picked up at the front desk or emailed upon request. If you have questions about any of the library’s programs, please call 515-388-4086, email at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop in the library located at 221 N Main St. in Roland.
