The Roland-Story National Honor Society, and GCC/Story City Antique Carousel will be hosting a food drive on Saturday, Sept. 16, from noon-6 p.m. The food drive, benefitting the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, will be held at the Story City Antique Carousel in Story City’s North Park.

The Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry is an entirely volunteer operated organization located in Story City that helps stock the shelves of those in Story City, Roland and Gilbert who are in need of food assistance. In addition, the pantry also operates from donations (monetary and non-perishable food) from community members. They also work closely with the Food Bank of Iowa, Harlan’s grocery store and other area businesses to keep the shelves stocked.

Loaves and Fishes is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, and patrons are able to come one Saturday per month to receive food.

Bring a non-perishable food item to the Story City Antique Carousel on Sept. 16 and receive a free ride. Join the GCC/Story City Antique Carousel and the Roland-Story National Honor Society as we come together to feed families in Story County.
