Feed the Hungry
Join the Story City Antique Carousel and the Roland-Story National Honor Society as they come together to feed families in Story County. Bring a non-perishable food item to the Story City Carousel on Saturday, Sept. 16, from noon to 6 p.m., and receive a free ride. All donations will go to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.
Women Making it Work
The United Way of Story County is offering a free course to help women learn to manage their finances. “Women Making it Work: You and Your Money” will be held Mondays from Sept. 18-Oct. 9, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Roland-Story Elementary School, 900 Hillcrest Drive., Story City. On Friday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m., at the Story City Community Center people age 55 and over are invited to play bridge club and/or the card game “Hand and Foot.” No reservations or charge required, but a snack to share is appreciated.
