Agriculture Education I students have been involved the past several weeks in their unit on wood shop. In this unit of study, the students are creating a wooden candy dispensing machine as the end result.
“This unit is one in which the students are learning and using multiple skill sets that are utilized in the wood shop profession,” said Brad Taylor, agriculture instructor.
So far, they have used cordless drills, sanders, band saws, table saws, radial arm saws, routers and drill presses. The purpose of the activity is to expose students to various tools and how to use them safely and effectively while producing a quality project.
