On Dec. 28, Story County Extension and Outreach held a 4-H Clothing Workshop. Participants made pajama pants and a T-shirt bag, and learned about elements and principles of design. Youth learned how to create a pattern based on their own measurements and got to put all of the pieces of the pattern together through a scavenger hunt activity. Members can take their pants to the Story County Fair as a clothing and sewing project as well as participate in the fashion review before fair. This is just one project area 4-H members are involved in.
