Students in several Roland-Story agriculture classes recently got the opportunity to visit and tour several local businesses to learn more about what they do and have to offer.

A total of 12 students visited Van Wall John Deere, Story City Floral and Story City Locker to learn firsthand of the job requirements and what each of the businesses has to offer.

“The ability to visit in small groups was an eye opener for the students. It gave them an opportunity to see and watch firsthand some of the basic life and employability skills that are expected of all workers,” said Brad Taylor, R-S agriculture instructor.
