Gov. Kim Reynolds appointed Story County Board of Supervisors Chairman Rick Sanders to the Mental Health and Disability Services Commission.
Authorized by the Code of Iowa, the commission is the state policy-making body for the provision of services to people with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities, or brain injury. Members are appointed by the governor with confirmation by a two-thirds vote of the Senate.
Sanders said he is “honored to have been selected by Gov. Reynolds to assist in strengthening Iowa’s mental health and disability programs and services.”
Sanders’ term begins May 1.
