• Thank you all for a great Book Fair! It’s amazing to see our students so excited about reading!

• High school students will be competing at the Iowa Mock Trial competition in Marshalltown on Thursday, March 8. The high school has not sent a team for a number of years, so students are excited about this opportunity. The team is coached by Mr. Klett.

• R-S elementary guidance has been offering several lunch groups for students wanting to discuss common concerns. They have completed units on anxiety and stress, new student experiences, changing families, common issues for 4th grade girls and boys, school behaviors and friendship issues and also play groups for social skills during recess. We hope the students learn new skills or are supported in handling some of these issues in their lives.

• Mr. Schwartz’s high school geometry classes recently completed their tessellation art project. Students studied and created tessellations using translations, rotations, and glide reflections. Students were then able to vote for their favorite artwork. The winners of the three categories were Kaitlyn Kilstofte, Jenna Hoskins and Seth Halleland. Pictures of the tessellations can be found at rsmath.funurl.com.
