Story City celebrated its annual Scandinavian Days festivities over the weekend. This year's theme was “United in Tradition.”

Scandinavian Days began in 1965 as part of the Syttende Mai (17th of May) celebration, or Norwegian Constitution Day, that Story City's Immanual Lutheran Church held each year. Since then, the festival has seen many changes, but Scandinavian Days still rings true to its roots with traditional foods, folklore and a rich pride of the community's heritage.
