The last day an absentee ballot can be requested by mail is this Friday, September 6, 2013. You may vote absentee either in person or by mail. Ballots received in the mail can be returned by any of the following methods:
•By mail. A return envelope is provided with pre-paid postage. The postmark must be no later than Monday, September 9, 2013.
•In person. You may deliver your ballot to the County Auditor’s office up until 8 p.m. on Election Day (September 10, 2013).
•By designee. You may designate someone else to mail or deliver your ballot for you. The instructions included in your mailed Absentee Ballot include a receipt, if you choose to use it, for this method.
Voters may cast an in-person absentee ballot in the Auditor’s Office during regular office hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
For school districts with polls opening at 7 a.m. on election day, (Ames, Collins-Maxwell, Colo-Nesco, Nevada) the last day to vote absentee in person is Monday, September 9 by 5 p.m.
For school districts with polls opening at 12 p.m. on election day, (Ballard, Gilbert, Roland-Story), the last day to vote absentee in person is Tuesday, September 10 by 11 a.m.
