FUNDRAISER TO BE HELD

The Story City First Responders will host their annual EMS Week fundraiser on Tuesday, May 21 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Story City Fire Station. Enjoy barbeque pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, baked beans and a drink. Free will donations.

MEMORIAL DAY LUNCHEON TO BE HELD

The annual Memorial Day luncheon will be served at Salem Lutheran Church in Roland on Monday, May 27 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. following the cemetery observance. The dinner includes beef burgers, beans, chips, pie and a drink. Free will donation. Carryouts are available. All are welcome.

GROUND BREAKING TO BE HELD

The GCC and the EDC will be holding a ground breaking for the Story City Meat Locker on Friday May 17 at 10 a.m. It will take place west of Story City Building products. We hope to see everyone there.

RIVER BEND WOMEN’S LEAGUE

An informational meeting for women interested in playing in Women’s League will be held Tuesday, May 21, at 7:00 p.m. at the Clubhouse. League format is a two lady best shot and will be played on Monday evenings in June and July. League dues will be $15 and must be paid prior to the first night of league play. CITY OF STORY CITY ACCEPTING PROPOSALS

The City of Story City is accepting proposals from individuals or parties interested in operating the concesion stand at the Story City Memorial Swimming Pool for the 2013 season. Anyone interested is encouraged to submit a proposal to the City of Story City at City Hall by Friday, May 17. For questions, contact John Moran, Parks and Recreation Superintendent at 733-4444.

TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR JSTT SCANDINAVIAN DAYS PERFORMANCE

Tickets for the Judge Story’s Theatrical Troupe Scandinavian Days production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" are on sale at Norsemen Realty (602 Broad Street)! Tickets are $13 and can be purchased over the phone (733-2922) using your MasterCard or Visa or stop in at Norsemen Realty to pick out and purchase your favorite reserved seats. Performance dates are June 5-8 at 7:00 p.m. and a Sunday, June 9 matinee at 1:30 p.m. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door prior to each performance.
