Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp recently hosted their Heavenly Night Gala 2014, "A Night in the Tropics", on February 15. One hundred thirty guests attended and enjoyed fantastic food, lively fellowship and incredible music by Tropical Steel, led by Stan Dahl. The Gala also included successful silent and live auctions featuring trips to Vail, Colorado and Orlando, Florida, sports and theatre tickets, handmade furniture, sports memorabilia and more. A volunteer committee, chaired by Catherine Strobel, planned the gala.
Funds raised by this year’s Gala exceeded $24,000 and will go to Riverside’s Living Water, the Living Word Capital Appeal to restore Riverside’s Chapel and to help build a new swimming pool. Riverside thanks the many wonderful volunteers that planned and hosted the gala and the generous supporters that attended and donated. Riverside also thanks auctioneer Jody McCaskey and the Roland-Story High School Key Club volunteers, who served throughout the evening. Riverside is especially thankful to the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Chapters that provided supplemental funding. Dallas-Madison, Boone-Greene, Marshall and Story County Chapters generously supported this event.
Plan now to attend next year’s Heavenly Night Gala.
