Preparations are continuing for the annual Roland-Story High School Band and Vocal holiday concert, to be held Monday, December 16 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. What better way to celebrate the Christmas season than to enjoy favorite and familiar songs we all recognize and love at this time of year; all performed by the outstanding high school musicians at Roland-Story. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students.

The 60-member concert band, under the direction of Kevin Masemann, will play some of the most popular Christmas selections, including:

C’est Noel!, with selections such as He is Born the Holy Child, Silent Night, Angels We Have Heard on High and Joy to the World; Rudolph’s Christmas Overture, including A Holly Jolly Christmas, I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer; The Polar Express, with selections Believe, The Polar Express, When Christmas Comes to Town and Spirit of the Season; Snow Day Celebration!; and finally, A Celebration of Christmas Carols, including God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Away in a Manger and Deck the Halls.
