The fifth grade program will begin at 6:45 p.m, followed by the sixth grade at 7:30 p.m. Both concerts will be held at the Roland-Story Middle School multi-purpose room in Roland.
The fifth grade chorus will perform such musical selections as Jingle All the Way, Stars That Twinkle and Shine, Angel’s Lullaby and Welcome the Holidays. They have spent much of their rehearsal and preparation time learning to read choral music and also singing in two-part harmony.
The sixth grade chorus will share such musical favorites as Noel, Noel, Do You Hear What I Hear, Peace on This Silent Night and Various themes on Fa-La-La-La-La. They too have been practicing and learning their music reading.

The sixth grade band will have their first concert of the year as well, playing such selections as Anasazi, Clarinet Caprice, Those Fabulous Flutes, The Buglers and Christmas on Parade.
On Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 7:30 p.m. the Roland-Story seventh and eighth grade band and choirs will also delight the audience with their annual Christmas concert.
The 7th/8th concert band, under the direction of Keith Lukens, will perform the following selections: Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, A Christmas Trilogy and The Christmas Song.
Choir Director Chris Johnson and his choirs plan to present a world-wide selection of songs, including the Puerto Rican carol A la media noche, the Israeli Torah Orah and the enduring American favorite It’s the Most Wonderful time of the Year. A special treat this year will be a joint rendition of the beloved The Christmas Song by both the band and the choir.
