In 1999, ChildServe in Ames began providing early education childcare to 30 children. Today, we serve nearly 500 children each year in the childcare, day health, therapy, case management, respite, day habilitation and supported community living programs. United Way of Story County and their donors have played a key role in making these programs available to children and families.
Throughout our longstanding partnership, United Way has donated more than $125,000 to help ChildServe develop and expand programs and reach more families through the ASSET funding process and summer camp scholarships. We’ve updated our facilities and received new equipment — including the changing table we installed in 2016 designed to give children with special healthcare needs greater independence.
To the United Way: thank you for your partnership in helping children in Ames live a great life. We look forward to many more life-changing years to come!
