The Norsemen’s boys’ track team placed fifth of eight teams at the Nevada coed meet on April 6
In the 100-meter dash, Kyle Selby finished sixth. Patrick Marlow placed seventh in the 200-meter dash. Grant Olson finished fourth in the 400.
Carter Greenfield placed second in the 800-meter run, and Nick Wakefield placed eighth.
Dakota Rusher placed second in the 3,200-meter run. And Gradyn Dowling finished in eighth-place in the 1,600-meter run.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Jake Ford placed ninth.
Sam Diehl finished third in the high jump with a height of 6 feet. Kade Faga placed eighth in the long jump with a length of 17 feet 5.5 inches.
The team of Kyle Selby, Lydon Heifner, Brett Staton and Patrick Marlow placed fourth in the 4x100-meter relay. Heifner, Staton, Jakob Pitman and Selby teamed up to place fifth in the 4x200 relay.
The 4x400 relay finished in second place with teammates Carter Greenfield, Eric Dowe, Grant Olson and Patrick Marlow. Dowe, Dowling, Nick Wakefield and Greenfield placed third in the 4x800 relay.
Roland-Story’s 800 sprint medley relay placed fourth, with runners Lydon Heifner, Brett Staton, Kyle Selby and Patrick Marlow.
Earning a second-place finish in the 1,600 distance medley relay was the team of Sam Diehl, Ben Chelsvig, Eric Dowe and Dakota Rusher.
The Norsemen placed fifth with 82 points. Gilbert won the meet with 167 points, Ballard 94.5, North Polk 85, Pella 84.5, ADM 75, Nevada 74 and St. Edmond 52.
