Boys golf against Gilbert and PCM on May 6. Beautiful day for golf compared to most to the season.

On May 6, the Roland-Story boys’ golf team competed in its final regular season varsity meet.

The Norse were in Ames for the Gilbert Invite, which had a nine-team field. Gilbert won the event with a score of 310, Boone was second with a 325, Nevada 330, ADM 332, DCG 360, RS 372, Ballard 381 and Woodward Granger 382.

Tyler Risdal and Nick Stole led the Norse with scores of 87, Matthew Weaver 90, Landon Greiner 108, Mitch Shorkey 109 and Braydon Flattebo 122.

“Overall we did well for the competition level,” said Mike Risdal, head coach. “We did not have all of our regular varsity players due to other commitments, however this was a great opportunity for a few others to play in this type of event.”
