At the Heart of Iowa Conference meet at Baxter on May 2, the Roland-Story girls’ track team placed seventh in a field of nine teams.


In the 400-meter hurdles, Lynette Wuebker placed second with a time of 1:09.99.


In the 100-meter dash, the eighth-place finisher was Emily Stewart with a time of 14.32.


Taryn Johnston placed sixth place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.31.


Taryn Perry placed ninth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 13:02.97.


In the 100-meter hurdles, Rachel Patton and Sydney Lively competed with times of 19.64 and 20.54, respectively.


The distance medley team placed second with a time of 4:29.58.


The 4x200-meter relay team placed second with a time of 1:50.56. The 4x400-meter relay team also placed second with a time of 4:14.90.


The 4x800-meter relay team placed fourth with a time of 10:36.06. And the 800 sprint medley team placed seventh with a time of 2:10.29.


Hailey Louw placed ninth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:41.10.


Kaitlyn Kilstofte and Taryn Perry ran the 1,500-meter run with places of 11th and 13th and times of 5:43.26 and 6:07.48, respectively.


In the field events, Emily Stewart placed third in the high jump at a height of 5 feet, and Rachel Patton placed seventh with a height of 4 feet 6 inches. Jillian Lykins had a long jump of 12 feet 7.25 inches, placing 11th and Kim Hendrian placed 12th with a 11-foot 11-inch jump.


In the shot put, Jenna Clark and Olivia Greiner placed 12th and 13th, respectively, with throws of 27 feet 1.5 inches and 26 feet 8.5 inches.


MaKayla Geise placed 10th in the discus with a throw of 89 feet 9 inches, and Jenna Clark placed 15th with a throw of 72 feet 8.5 inches.
