The Roland-Story girls’ track team had a good showing at the state track meet, despite competing in drizzly, windy conditions.


Running the 400-meter low hurdles, Lynette Wuebker finished 20th overall with a time of 1:10.65,


The 4x400-meter relay team finished 20th overall with a time of 4:15.73. The 4x400 team members were Kylie Tjernagel, Taryn Johnston, Juliann Clark and Lynette Wuebker.


Juliann Clark, Anna Wilgenbusch, Taryn Johnston and Lynette Wuebker were the members of the 4x200-meter relay team. They finished 21st overall with a time of 1:52.36.


“It was a great season and we were so happy with our whole team, especially the ones that got to experience Drake Stadium,” said head coach Caryn Watson.


“State track, no matter the weather, brings together some of the top athletes and the atmosphere is exhilarating. We are sad to see our two seniors go but our team next year will be back together and continue to grow and improve,” she said.
