The Roland-Story baseball team scored runs with a fury in 13-2, 12-0 wins over Fort Dodge St. Edmond on Thursday, June 22.


Over the two games, Zach Shadlow and Jake Ford combined for six RBIs each for the Norse, Landon Greiner added two over the two games. Carter Greenfield had two in the first game.


Nathan Bell had five RBIs in the second game.


Zach Twedt got the win in the opener and. Matthew Weaver was the winner in the nightcap.


Roland-Story jumped out to an early lead over St. Edmond and took home a 13-2 victory on Thursday, June 22. The Norsemen scored on a single by Zach Shadlow, a single by Landon Greiner, an error and a stolen base in the first inning.


Roland-Story took an early lead in the first inning. Zach Shadlow drove in one when he singled in the first inning.


The Norsemen scored six runs in the fifth inning. Roland-Story’s big inning was driven by a single by Carter Greenfield, an error, and a double by Jake Ford.


Roland-Story had 11 hits in the game. Caleb Schlatter, Shadlow and Nathan Bell each collected two hits for the Norsemen.


St. Edmond collected six hits.


In the second game, Matthew Weaver didn’t allow a single run as Roland-Story defeated St. Edmond 12-0. Weaver allowed just two hits and struck out Allison to end the game.


Roland-Story collected 10 hits. Jake Ford and Nathan Bell each collected multiple hits for the team. Ford went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits.


Roland-Story didn’t commit a single error in the field. Nick Stole had the most chances in the field with six.


The Norse improved to 15-12.
