Roland-Story took the lead late and defeated Saydel 5-4 on Monday, June 26. The game was tied at two with the Norsemen batting in the bottom of the sixth when Saydel’s pitcher uncorked a wild pitch, scoring two runs.

Saydel took an early lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning Boehler drove in one run when he singled.

Saydel knotted the game up at two in the top of the third inning. Porter drove in one when he singled in the third inning.

Jake Ford led Roland-Story with two hits in two at bats. Caleb Schlatter, Derek Staker, Zach Shadlow, Matthew Weaver and Carter Greenfield each scored one run. Nathan Bell had two RBIs, and Jake Ford had one.

Vs. South Hamilton

Even though Roland-Story collected seven hits to South Hamilton’s four, they still fell 9-1 on Friday, June 30.

The Norsemen collected seven hits. Jake Ford and Will Larson each collected two hits to lead Roland-Story.

Vs. West Marshall

Roland-Story watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 10-5 loss to West Marshall on Thursday, June 29.

The Norsemen took an early lead in the first inning. Nathan Bell doubled on the first pitch of the at bat in the first inning, scoring two runs.

West Marshall took the lead for good with five runs in the first inning.

Roland-Story had 10 hits in the game. Nick Stole and Bell each had two hits to lead the team.

Vs. East Marshall

Roland-Story grabbed an early lead on its way to an 11-1 victory over East Marshall on Tuesday, June 27. The Norsemen scored on a single by Jake Ford and a single by Nathan Bell in the first inning.

Roland-Story scored five runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to a fielder’s choice by Landon Greiner, a stolen base, a fielder’s choice by Carter Greenfield, and an error.

Roland-Story had nine hits in the game. Ford led the team with three hits in four at bats. Bell got two hits, and Zach Shadlow, Mason Thomas, Eric Dowe and Will Larson each got one hit.
