The Roland-Story girls’ basketball team started the season with a 72-30 win against BCLUW on Nov. 21.


The Norse began the game with strong shooting, scoring 30 points in the first quarter compared to BCLUW’s two points. The teams went into halftime with a score of 43-10. In the third quarter, Roland-Story scored another 18 and BCLUW shot more competitively with 13. In the fourth quarter, the Norse scored 11 and BCLUW scored seven.


Jenna Clark was lead scorer for the Norse, with 23 points in the game, including five threes. She was also strong on defense, making 12 steals, which broke a Roland-Story school record.


Kylie Tjernagel scored 12 points, with two three-pointers. Susie Weaver scored eight, including two threes. MaKayla Geise scored seven points; Madeline Morton made two three-point shots; Juliann Clark added five points, including a three.
