Koby and Michael earned a spot at the District tournament to be held this coming Saturday at Applington Parkersburg, it will be another tough meet for both, but they can still make it to State as anything can happen at these meets. As for the other wrestlers their season came to an end, much improvement was seen by the younger wrestlers and next year should see them with more wins in their column as they continue to improve and grow, with many finding that weight class that fits them best. Best of Luck to Koby and Michael at Districts this weekend on the road to State!

“We were very excited to get Koby and Michael through to Districts. Koby wrestled very well and dominated his way to a Sectionals title. Michael wrestled a very good match to put him in the finals. He lost in the finals but his second place finish qualified him for Districts next Saturday,” said head coach Leland Schwartz.

“It’s always sad to see the others fall short of their goals of moving on, especially the seniors,” he said. “Liam was seeded first, but was still not back to full strength after a recent injury. Joe and Jimmy finished in 3rd place and still have a small chance of wrestling at Districts if one of the top two place winners at their weight is unable to wrestle.”
