Roland-Story’s softball team got 10-4 win at home against South Hamilton on June 7.


The girls had 13 hits on the night: three from both Madison Friest and Jessica Hovick, two from Hailey Louw and Allisyn Coghlan, and one from Sydney Mathis, Madison Geise and Susie Weaver.


Friest hit three home runs and had five RBIs. Hovick had two RBIs, and Mathis and Coghlan each had one.


Juliann Clark, Louw, Riley Holmgren, Weaver, Ally Ringsby and Reagan Schmitz each added a run.


Mathis was the winning pitcher, pitching 63 times with three strike outs in 4 1/3 innings. Madison Geise pitched 2 2/3 innings, with 52 pitches and three strike outs.


Roland-Story’s win against South Hamilton was also Alumni Night; former softball alumni who went on to play college ball were invited to come back for the night. Fifteen former players were in attendance.
