Natalie Vance, a senior at Roland-Story, has been selected by the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association as a member of the Class 3A Academic All-State team for 2014. To be nominated for the all-academic team a player must have at least a 25 ACT composite, rank in the top 25 percent of their senior class and carry a GPA of 3.25 or better on a 4.0 scale.
Members of the Iowa Basketball Coaches Assocation make the nominations, and this year’s All-Academic team consisted of 25 players. Nearly half (12) of the girls ranked number one in their high school class. The average ACT score was 28.8 and their average grade point average was 3.96. All 25 members on the team averaged 13.2 points/game.
Natalie is the daughter of Scott Vance of Story City.
