Bertha Bartlett Public Library in Story City, in partnership with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, is hosting a free workshop about the Affordable Health Care Act on Saturday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Led by Barb Wollan, Extension Family Finance specialist, the workshop will be non-commercial and non-political. Wollan will introduce the new Health Insurance Marketplace – what it is and how to use it - and will describe the cost reductions available to many Iowans through the Marketplace. Participants will also build information and skills for choosing a health insurance policy that fits their needs.

The workshop will cover key health insurance terms and concepts, how to think about your health care needs, comparing policies, the new Health Insurance Marketplace, Premium Tax Credit and other cost reductions.
