Bertha Bartlett Public Library, Story City, welcomes Paranormal Researchers of Iowa on Monday, October 28 18, at 7 p.m.

Paranormal Researchers is a group of paranormal researchers based out of Fort Dodge. The team investigates businesses, homes, historical locations, public buildings – any place that is reported as paranormal. The group defines paranormal as an event or occurrence that falls outside of the normal experiences or scientific explanation.

Denise Mendenhall, group leader for Paranormal Researchers of Iowa, teaches paranormal studies at Iowa Lakes and Iowa Central Community Colleges. She has spent over 20 years researching, studying and investigating the paranormal. As a child, she had her first paranormal encounter, when a ghost invited himself to several of her play dates in her grandmother’s attic. Mendenhall has sought answers to many paranormal questions throughout her life.
