On Wednesday, August 17th the Story City Greater Chamber Connection’s Promotions Committee hosted the annual Progressive Dinner. In total 30 local businesses participated in this year’s dinner and served up 22 different stops with a variety of food from around the world and, of course, various American classics. Jocee Lowe, chair of the promotions committee, would like to “thank all the participating businesses for their support and for taking part, because without them we would not have had a successful event”. Pictured are some of the businesses that took part.
Roughly 250 people attended and enjoyed the dinner, conversations with old and new friends, and played some fun games between their dinner stops.
During the Progressive Dinner locals had the opportunity to vote for their favorite 2x2xWho? art pieces as well. The Greater Chamber Connection is happy to announce that the first place winner is Taryn Perry, who did a beautiful painting of the Story City Antique Carousel. Second place went to Kaitlin Romsey, with a stunning Iowa Sunset painting. And third place was awarded to Anna Peach for her beautiful blue flower.
The Story City GCC office wants to thank all who showed Story City their wonderful artistic talent. The 2x2xWho? art work will remain in the various business windows through the month of August, so there is still time to stop and take a look.
