The Iowa State Center has named Brianna Schwind as marketing manager. In this role, Schwind will expand the center’s already extensive marketing efforts. She will be responsible for planning media buys and placement, the digital image of the facilities, promotions and graphic design.

“We are pleased to have Brianna join our team,” said Tammy Koolbeck, Iowa State Center executive director. “She brings both academic and practical work experiences to this position. We see her addition to the staff as giving us the ability to extend our footprint and introduce new audiences to our programming.”

Schwind joins the team with a degree in advertising and over four years of design and marketing experience. She has held various positions in small businesses in and around the Ames and Story City areas. Schwind takes pride in having handled many different job roles which provide her with a wide range of knowledge in the workplace.

In 2013, while attending Iowa State University, Brianna won the first place Collegiate Effie Award along with her two group members. The students were tasked with creating a marketing campaign promoting safe drinking, sponsored by Heineken. Schwind and her group were flown to New York City and judged by a panel of Heineken executives at their corporate headquarters. The Collegiate Effie’s are an annual competition.

“I am honored to be a part of such a great organization and to work with a fantastic and innovative group of people. I am looking forward to being a part of all the exciting things happening here!” Schwind said.
