On Oct. 4, Bethany Life received a gift of $9,000 from its Volunteer Advisory Board.
“This gift is being used to purchase and install state-of-the-art audio visual equipment in the Warburton Family Room here at The Households of Bethany,” said Betsy Warburton, Bethany Life CEO, as she accepted the gift. “Our residents will enjoy the big screen and surround sound speakers and gather together to watch new releases, holiday favorites and sporting events. We are blessed to have such an amazing group of volunteers supporting our mission.”
Every year, the Volunteer Advisory Board gives a gift to Bethany Life that is used to make a positive impact on the lives of the residents.
“The Bethany Life volunteers raise money through the sale of craft items that they create themselves, such as quilts and embroidered dish towels and by holding special events such as bake sales during the year. Their dedication and hard work is truly appreciated,” said Lynne Melssen, donor relations coordinator for the Bethany Life Foundation.
The work of installing the home theater equipment is expected to begin soon and Bethany Life volunteers will be able to enjoy a demonstration of their gift at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch being held in November.
