Judge Story’s Theatrical Troupe (JSTT) is set to perform “Children of Eden” for this year’s summer musical. The show has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a script written by John Caird.
The show is based on two major stories chronicled in the Book of Genesis: the Garden of Eden and Noah’s Ark.
Featuring an all-ages cast of 36 and a variety of creative puppets, the show tells a story about parents, children, faith and love.
The cast has been rehearsing since March, while the production team has been developing major set pieces and puppets since January.
JSTT will perform “Children of Eden” Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2, as well as Thursday, June 6, to Sunday, June 9. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances, doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. On Sunday matinees, doors will open at 1 p.m., with the show starting at 1:30 p.m.
All seats are reserved and tickets can be purchased in person at ACT Insurance, located at 603 Broad St. in Story City, on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. by calling the JSTT ticket line at 515-291-3318. Tickets are $15 per person and are for sale now and can also be purchased before performances if tickets remain at showtime.
