Arlene Kay Wierson, 67, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at Granger Health Care Center in Granger, Iowa. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Arlene was born Nov. 24, 1950, daughter of Ansel and Stella (Knol) Bolt. She grew up in Story City and attended the Story City schools. Arlene married Ron Wierson in 1968 in Roland. She worked for the family businesses, Bolt’s Eggs and Stella’s Café.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew DJ Abogunrin.
Arlene is survived by her two sons, Eric Wierson of Ames, and Matthew Wierson of Ames; two grandchildren, Everett Wierson of Ames, and Shane Wierson of Ames; and three sisters, Joyce A (David) Knol-Digby of Ames, Ruth (Gene Wirtjes) Johnson of Herrin, Ill., and Sally A (John) Heer of Fort Collins, Colo.
Iles Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Madrid is in charge of arrangements.
