Friday Feb. 28, 2020, our friend Lyn Vandebrake changed her address. Lyn’s strength and positive attitude made an impact on everyone who met her. Lyn made friends with people around the world as she traveled and wrote her many stories.

Lyn was born Aug. 6, 1954. Her daughters, Andrea and Michelle, and grandchildren, Jubilee, Titus, Patience, “Terpy” and Jude, were priorities in Lyn’s life. Her sister, Melanie, shares happy memories of their travels together. Her husband, Vern, enjoyed working on their farm and planning retirement years together. Lyn always had a can do attitude about whatever came her way.

Lyn enjoyed and protected the many wild animals that visited their land. She believed in protecting our environment and making her world a better place. Lyn completed her life by being buried in a “green burial” on her farm near Randall.

A “Change of Address” party will be scheduled for friends and family at a later date.

Lyn published her first book in the summer of 2019 and was working on two other books, which will be published later this year. She never met an animal she didn’t invite to join her on the farm.

In lieu of flowers, Lyn asked that friends donate to Philippine missionaries Alfred and Angela Manalo at Independent Baptist Mission for Asians, PO Box 912, Marietta, OH 45750.
