Clifford W. Satre, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, December 2, 2013, at NewAldaya Lifescapes. He was born January 30, 1924 in Jewell, Iowa, the son of Emil and Hannah (Brue) Satre. Clfford graduated from Randall High School in 1942 and from Iowa State University in 1950 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy. Clifford married Margaret L. Millang September 3, 1950 in Randall, Iowa. Before moving to Cedar Falls in 1974, Clifford worked for Frye Carbon Paper in Des Moines. He retired from Doerfer Engineering in 1980.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Satre, of Cedar Falls; two sons, Mark Satre, of Sacramento, California, and Jeff (Leslie) Satre, of Story City, Iowa; two daughters, Jennifer Davis, of Ames, Iowa and Nancy Cahill, of Waterloo; nine grandchildren, Josh and Rachel Rivenbark, Nathan (Erin) Davis, Erin (Andy) English, Emily (Todd) Green, Melanie (Greg) Anderson, Jordyn, Kiley, and Collin Cahill; three great grandchildren, Olivia Davis, Hunter Green , and Hudson English, and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Vernal, Kenneth and Irving Satre; four sisters, Fern Kyle, Arlene Severson, Myrtle Johnson, and Iola Satre.

Funeral services were Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Nazareth Lutheran Church. Burial in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Randall, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to Nazareth Lutheran Church and Riverside Bible Camp, Story City, Iowa. Condolences may be left at
