GILBERT — The Roland-Story boys brought home a team championship and the girls placed third at the Lindsey Ellingson Coed Invitational April 2 at Gilbert.

The Roland-Story boys picked up victories in the 3,200-meter run, high jump, shot put, discus, 100, 200, 4 X 100 and 4 X 200, scoring 172.5 points. The Norsemen beat Des Moines Christian by 26.5 points for first.

In the 3,200, Roland-Story’s Nick Wakefield used an amazing final kick to oust two outstanding runners in Gilbert’s Ethan Mesenbrink and South Hamilton’s Logan Peters.
