JEWELL — The Roland-Story boys’ golf team placed sixth at the South Hamilton Invitational May 2 at the Jewell Golf and Country Club.

Roland-Story shot a 373 as a team over 18 holes. Nick Stole placed third overall as the top golfer for the Norsemen with a score of 80.

Steven Berends shot a 96, Sam Skaar a 97 and Ryan Streit a 100 as the other Roland-Story golfers to count in the scoring. Braydon Flattebo finished with a 102 and Joe Hovick a 104.

POLK CITY - Roland-Story came in fifth out of eight teams at the Heart of Iowa Conference boys ‘golf meet April 30 at the Tournament Club of Iowa course in Polk City.

Roland-Story shot a 184 over nine holes. The meet was supposed to go 18 holes, but was cut short due to rainy weather.

Steven Berends paced Roland-Story with a 41. Nick Stole shot a 47 and Braydon Flattebo and Sam Skaar each carded a 48 to complete the Norsemen scoring.

Ryan Streit and Joe Hovick also competed for Roland-Story, shooting respective rounds of 51 and 66.

Nevada’s Kyle Linder was medalist with a 35. The Cubs’ Harold Dobernecker carded a 36 as medalist runner-up and his teammates, Caden Jones and Dylan Sporrer, also shot a 36.

CONRAD - Roland-Story took second out of 11 teams at the BCLUW Invitational April 29 at the Oakwood Golf Course in Conrad.

Roland-Story shot a 171 over nine holes. AGWSR won the tournament with a score of 163.

Steven Berends carded a 41 to place fifth overall individually to pace the Norsemen. Nick Stole and Ryan Streit each shot a 43 and Sam Skaar a 44 to complete the team’s scoring.

Braydon Flattebo scored a 46 and Joe Hovick a 50 as the other golfers competing for Roland-Story.
