Local dancers selected for 33rd Nutcracker Ballet

Don’t miss the Iowa State Center’s presentation of The Nutcracker Ballet. Now in its 33rd year, this annual production showcases sensational talent on stage at Stephens Auditorium, Saturday and Sunday, December 14-15. Performances are scheduled for 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 1:30 p.m on Sunday. Tickets are now on sale at the Iowa State Center Ticket Office and all Ticketmaster outlets. A cast of more than 200 local performers will most certainly take your breath away in this holiday masterpiece.

Skilled dancers from many surrounding communities are participating in the Iowa State Center’s production of the Nutcracker Ballet. Following is the listing of the dancers from the Story City/Roland area and the parts that they will perform:

Lauren Hansen, Soldier; Jenna Hoskins, Angel; Libbie Johnson, Harlequin; and Melody Stokke, Irish Dance.

This year The Nutcracker Ballet welcomes professional principal dancers Jay Voelker and Justin M. Koertgen in the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier.
