R-S Class of 1979 holds 35th Reunion

The Roland-Story Class of 1979 held their 35th Class Reunion the weekend of July 25-27, 2014. Approximately 25 classmates returned to catch up and remember the good old days of the 1970s.

On Friday, July 25, the members of the class gathered at Carousel Lanes, where D.J. Greg Larson (a member of the Class of 1980) spun the classics from the ’70s. Lots of visiting, story telling and laughs were enjoyed by all.

Saturday evening, July 26, Jim and Sherri Keigan hosted the class for a barbecue and gathering at their home on north Grand Avenue. A handful of surprise classmates arrived that weren’t able to attend the night before. It was wonderful to see everyone! Drinks and more conversations were enjoyed once again. The fire pit was lit, and the evening’s festivities lasted well into the night.

Sunday morning, July 27, brought a handful of “tired” classmates to the River Bend Golf Course for a round of golf, before heading their separate ways by early afternoon. All agreed before saying their “good byes” that it doesn’t have to be every five years before some of us get together again.

Great memories, with great friends! See you all in the summer of 2019 for our 40th Reunion.
