At approximately 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13th, the Story County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault and burglary that had taken place at 65079 140th Street (RR McCallsburg) in northern Story County. The initial investigation into the incident revealed that Ted Larson (age 50 from Webster City, IA) and Terry Nessa (age 52 from Woolstock, IA) had driven to the residence looking for Ted Larson’s wife, Tara Larson (age 44). Upon arriving at the residence, Ted Larson and Terry Nessa forced their way into the home, assaulted the male resident, Lyndal Olson (age 45), did significant damage to the interior of the residence, broke out several windows in Olson’s barn and vandalized two of Olson’s vehicles parked in the driveway. Responding deputies found Ted Larson and Terry Nessa at the residence and subsequently took them into custody, charging each with Burglary 1st (Class B Felony), Willful Injury with the intent to cause serious injury (Class C Felony) and Criminal Mischief 2nd (Class D Felony). Tara Larson was also found at the residence but was not charged. Lyndal Olson had severe lacerations over both eyes that required medical attention, however, the injuries did not appear to be life threatening. Ted Larson and Terry Nessa were transported to the Story County Jail and both are currently being held on $40,000 bond.
